While the England team was batting during the match, Gill stood in slip and suggested Jadeja to bring the fielder posted on long-on. Gill said to Jadeja, 'Jaddu bhai, take him a little up, man. Let me go one step ahead and kill it.
However, Jadeja rejected this suggestion outright. He replied that there is no need for a fielder on long-on and if Stokes goes to play the shot, there should be a fielder below to take the catch. Jadeja, while speaking, said, 'There is no work to him there. At least someone should be a catch holder below. Jadeja after this answer, Gill returned quietly to his place without saying anything.
