The chief guest of the ceremony held in Sangrur, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of AAP, credited this achievement to all the teachers-primers and said that AAP government has three big goals in Punjab. The first drug addiction and preventing children from getting drunk again. Second, giving great education to every child and providing employment to every child.
He said that the previous governments did not give a good atmosphere, but when the government gave the atmosphere, the teachers showed charisma and made Punjab become the number. There has been a lot of confidence among the students of government schools. Now the people of Punjab are saying that work is being done against drugs and there is revolution in education.
Congress and Akali government also targeted
Arvind Kejriwal said that before 2022, the Congress was the government of Akali, but in a government, teachers did not get a chance to sit face to face with their Chief Minister or Minister. In 2022, the people of Punjab blessed AAP and formed our government with a strong majority. During the election campaign, the teachers of Punjab used to sit on a water tank with their demands.
The teacher who should make the future of children inside the class room, used to meet on dharna with their demands. Today the same teacher is sitting and talking with the Chief Minister of Punjab and the minister. This is no less than a revolution. In the survey of NAS (NAS) 2024, Punjab has come on Nunwar One. Congratulations to everyone for this. In 2017, Punjab was at number 29. Now Punjab has come at number one in all the categories. All this is due to the hard work of the principal and the teacher.
In a few years, tremendous work on schools infrastructure
Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last few years, there has been tremendous work on the infrastructure of schools. Boundary walls, cleaning, drinking water, training to the teacher have been done. The Business Blasters program has also started. He said that in 2017 we went to a government school in Delhi. Told a child that son is the future of the country, then he replied that the country is not in the future, there are children studying in private schools. After three years, he went to the same school again and asked the same child again, he had tears in his eyes.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the result of NAS is not important for me. We have given love, faith and unprecedented majority to the people of Punjab. For us, the Certificate of the people of Punjab will be the biggest certificate. When the people of Punjab say that the education of Punjab has improved, we will consider it as the certificate of our achievement.
During this, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that due to the concerted efforts of the state government, today Punjab is ranked first in NAS, while in the year 2017, Punjab was ranked 29th. He said that teachers are the creators of the nation and they have played an important role in making Punjab number one. Due to the concrete efforts of the state government, Punjab is achieving great achievements in every field today.
Get the students familiar with the heritage of Punjab
The Chief Minister appealed to the teachers to introduce students to the rich cultural heritage of Punjab as it is very important for the all -round development of the students. He said that it is the need of the hour that students should be connected to their roots and touch the heights in life. The state government is paying special attention to the skill development of students so that they can live self -reliant, self -respecting and respectable life in society.
Punjab in -charge Manish Sisodia said that we are not celebrating today that Punjab number one has come in the National Achievement Survey (NAS). The Government of India, which never believed the governments of opposition parties, also had to believe that Punjab is number one. But the thing is that millions of children of Punjab have become confident in their eyes. These children are the future of the country. Your political thinking is that teachers decide the future of the country. We see teachers like a pilot, whose job is to prepare children as a good citizen since childhood, give them flight and make the right landing in society.
The late MLA was not a person, but an institution
Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal joined the enjoyment of the late MLA Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal and the last Ardas and a prayer to the heartbreaking family to give strength in this hour of grief. Dr. Kashmir Singh Taran Taran was AAP MLA from Assembly. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and other ministers and senior leaders were also present on the occasion. Everyone expressed condolences on the untimely demise of Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal and described it as a big loss for the party and the state.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the late MLA was not an individual, but an institution and he devoted his entire life to the service of the weaker sections of the society. Dr. Sohal's death is one of the saddest events of his life, because the MLA was very close to him. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss to the party, which lost his energetic leader who was very popular among the common people.
