The ambitious Anant Nagar Residential Scheme of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) in the Nawabs city of Lucknow has brought a golden opportunity for the citizens. Spread over 785 acres, this scheme is not only a residential project, but a modern, self-reliant and green township dream, which will give Lucknow a new identity. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the scheme on 4 April 2025, and promised to develop it on the lines of Panchkula.
After a huge project like Gomti Nagar in Lucknow, a grand residential scheme like Anant Nagar has started after about 20 years. The scheme is being built on Mohan Road at a cost of Rs 6,500 to 10,000 crore, which will not only meet the needs of housing, but will also prove to be a milestone in the fields of education, technology and environment.
Lucknow Development Authority Vice President Prathamesh Kumar said that the Anant Nagar Yojana is a township designed for all income classes. It aims to provide residential facilities to 1.5 lakh people.
Housing and flats
- 18,237 flats and 2,485 empty plots will be made, which will be available for all income classes.
- 10,000 flats will be built on 60 plots of group housing, of which 5,000 flats will be for the economically weaker section (EWS) and low income group (LIG). They will benefit more than 25,000 people.
- 3,000 flats will be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which will provide houses to 15,000 people.
- Especially 5,000 cheap flats will be made for EWS and LIG, which will cost less than Rs 10 lakh, and they will be ready in two and a half to three years.
Adutec city
Adutek City, on 100 acres, will make Lucknow a new hub of education and technology. There will be facilities from pre-primary to higher education, technical and medical education. Hostels and residential buildings will be built for more than 10,000 students, teachers and faculty.
Greenery and environment
18 large parks and green spaces will be developed in 130 acres, which will make the township environmentally friendly. The scheme provides for zero liquid discharge and modern solid waste management system.
modern conveniences
Facilities like wide roads, uninterrupted electricity, e-vehicle charging station, vending zone, shopping complex and procession will make this township a self-sufficient model through underground cable.
