Nishikant Dubey and Devendra Fadnavis
The controversy of Marathi vs Hindi in Maharashtra is constantly deepening. Politics is happening fiercely on this. Meanwhile, politics has been hot on the statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also opted out of his statement. He has described the statement as wrong. However, he has made it clear that Nishikant's statement is not for the common people of Maharashtra, but for the people who air the dispute.
CM Devendra Fadnavis said on Tuesday, 'Whatever Nishikant Dubey has said, he has not said for the common Marathi people, but for those organizations who have given air to this dispute. I believe that Nishikant Dubey's statement is not completely correct. No one can deny and forget Maharashtra's contribution in the progress of the country and if anyone does this then it will be completely wrong.
What did Nishikant Dubey give?
In fact, Nishikant Dubey had retaliated on the advice of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray in which he asked his party workers to target non-Marathi speaking people. Without naming someone, Nishikant challenged the 'very big boss' to come out of Maharashtra and said, “You will kill you with a slap.”
Targeting the Thackeray brothers, Dubey said, 'You are saying that people will have to speak Marathi. Whose bread are you eating? There are Tata, Birla and Reliance. There is no unit in Maharashtra. Tata set up his first factory here (in Bihar). You guys are growing on our money. Which tax do you bring and which industry do you have. We have mines. You are doing latashahi.
He said, 'If you have so much courage that you beat Hindi speakers, then you should also beat Urdu, Tamil and Telugu speakers. If you are such a big 'boss', then come out of Maharashtra, come to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, you will beat you with a slap. This chaos will not work.
What did Raj Thackeray say to his workers?
Dubey's remarks came two days after Raj and Uddhav Thackeray shared a platform in Mumbai amid the Marathi controversy in Maharashtra. Addressing the party workers, Raj Thackeray had said, 'Whether it is Gujarati or someone else, Marathi should come, but if no one speaks Marathi, there is no need to beat him. If someone does a useless drama, then you should kill under his ear. Raj also refused to record a video of the beating and said, “The person beaten should tell that he has been beaten.”
