It has been decided to close all the educational institutions in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh from 16 to 23 July in view of the Kanwar Yatra. On the instructions of DM, DIOS has sent orders to all schools. Orders will also be applicable on schools recognized by UP, CBSE and ICSE board. If government and non -government schools are found open then action will be taken against it.
The DM has declared a holiday in all government and private schools due to the roads closed in Muzaffarnagar due to Kavad Yatra. Under which all board schools will be closed from July 16 to 25 in the district. Basic Education Department, Secondary Education Department as well as degree colleges will also be closed during this period.
If the institute is found open, action will be taken
Speaking to reporters on Monday, District Magistrate Umesh Mishra said that all the educational institutions in the district have been closed from 16 to 23 July. He said that this decision has been taken to protect students and employees from any inconvenience during the smooth operation of the Kandar Yatra and the festival. Mishra warned that during this time, if an institute is found open, strict action will be taken against him.

At the same time, DIOS Rajesh Kumar said that the DM has given instructions to declare a holiday in all schools from 16 to 23 July. He informed that the educational institutions of the council, secondary, degree and technical boards will be closed in view of the Kavad Yatra. At the same time, orders will also be applicable on schools recognized by UP, CBSE and ICSE board. Here Basic Education Officer Sandeep Kumar has also given instructions to take leave in all council schools. Classes will run on the next day of Shivaratri.

In fact, every year, during the Kavad Yatra to be taken out during the month of Shravan, a large number of Kanwadis take holy water from the Ganges river to offer foot to Shiva temples. Tight security arrangements are made in view of the widespread movement of Kanwari on the entire Kandar Yatra route, especially in western Uttar Pradesh. The Kandar Yatra, which started from 11 July, will continue till 23 July. The Kanwar traveler ends on the day of Shivaratri.
