Ahmedabad plane crash
Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed on 12 June. This accident shook everyone. At least 270 people were killed in this plane crash. After one month of this crash, the report of the investigation has now come out. There have been many important revelations in this report.
The report shows that a few seconds after flying, the engine's fuel switch 'run from' Run 'to' Cutoff 'from' Run '. This 15 -page report has been publicly publicized by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) in the early hours of Saturday.
What happened to the puzzle pilot from the accident?
This report has revealed that there was confusion among the pilots to close the fuel. Both switches fuked to both engines of Air India flight 171 were closed, after which the pilots were confused and the aircraft crashed into Ahmedabad only a few seconds after flying. In the cockpit voice recording, a pilot was heard asking another, why did you cut off fuel? The second pilot replied that I did not do so.
This cutoff of fuel, due to which the aircraft stopped getting fuel, whatever happened in the Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 on June 12, can play an important role in solving this mystery, as well as it can be a major reason for the crash.
Fuel reun again
After this, it was also revealed in the report that the pilots once again switched to the run with the cut off after the confusion of the fuel shut down. The switch cutoff of both the engines of the aircraft going to London was switched to run, showing that the pilots tried to handle the situation, as the figures of the Enhanced Airborn Flight Recorder (EAFR) showed.
The report said, when the aircraft is in the air, the fuel control switch is taken from the cutoff. At the time when the aircraft flew, the co-pilot was blowing the aircraft, while Captain was doing monetizing.
The report said that the aircraft was at a speed of about 180 knots IAS and immediately after that, the fuel cutoff switch of the engine 1 and the engine was cut off from one after the other within 1 second. According to the report, the fuel of the engine N1 and N2 started declining their capacity.
Pilot released alert
The aircraft flew at 1.38 am. At 1.39 minutes, the pilot issued an alert of Mayday Mayday Mayday. The report said, the ATCO (Air Traffic Controller) inquired about the call sign. The ATCO received no response, but they saw the aircraft crashed outside the airport boundary and activated the emergency response.
Aircraft crashed
The plane went and crashed into the hostel of BJ Medical College. In this terrible crash, I am not only killed by the passengers in the aircraft, but the students present in the hostel also lost their lives in this accident. Out of 242 present in the aircraft, 241 people died. At the same time, 30 students present in the hostel also died in this accident.
Who were both pilots?
Captain Sumit Sabharwal was running the aircraft. Who is a line training captain and who has 8,200 hours of flight experience. He was accompanied by the first officer Clive Kunder, who had a flying experience of 1,100 hours. The report said that both the pilots were medicalily healthy.
The report stated that RAM Air Turbine (RAT) was deployed immediately after the flying, as seen in the CCTV footage of the airport. RAT is deployed when a dual engine malfunction or a completely electronic or hydraulic failure.
Earlier in the 1980s, a pilot of Delta Air Lines Inc. accidentally stopped the fuel of the Boeing 767 engine, which he was blowing. But in that condition, he managed to start it again as the aircraft was high in the sky, which averted the accident.
