As soon as the procession of Muharram procession reached near Mahavir temple in this area, there was a clash between members of two communities. During the clash, stones were thrown on each other from both sides and some vehicles were vandalized.

At the same time, internet, social media and messaging service were banned for 24 hours on the instructions of the Home Department (Special Branch) to stop rumors and restore peace.
