A gruesome road accident has occurred in Annamaya district of Andhra Pradesh. Here a mango -laden truck suddenly lost balance near Reddyacheruvukta under Pulmpeta Mandal and overturned. In this accident, 9 laborers died on the spot, while many others were seriously injured. All the laborers were returning after riding in the truck and handling their work.
The truck was going towards the Kalcoduru from Isukapalli of Rajampet Mandal. Meanwhile, the driver lost control of the truck near Reddychaeruvukta and the vehicle overturned. At the time of the accident, there were about 22 laborers in the truck. 9 of them died on the spot, while the rest were injured. The injured were immediately admitted to the government hospital in Rajampet, where the condition of some remains critical. This accident happened on Sunday.
Returning to the truck by loading mangoes
All the deceased laborers are said to be residents of Settigunta village of Railway Koduru area. All these mangoes were returning after doing the work of sabotage and loading, then this accident happened. On receiving information about the accident, the local administration, police and relief teams reached the spot and started relief work.
CM expressed grief over the accident
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep grief over this incident. Expressing condolences to the family of the deceased, he has instructed the officials for better treatment of the injured. The Chief Minister has assured that the state government will help the victim families in every possible way.
At present, the police is investigating the case. It is feared that the truck had more loading than capacity, which deteriorated the balance of the vehicle. This incident has once again raised questions on the transport system of workers in rural areas. Local people have demanded from the administration that strict steps should be taken to protect the workers and the transport rules should be strictly followed.
