Covovax Vaccine Covid Booster Dose : Countries around the world, including India, are very worried about the deteriorating situation due to Corona in China. Being a neighboring country, people in India are also very scared. However, virologists and experts of the country say that there is less possibility of a situation like China in India. This country has already paid the price. Therefore, now looking at the effects of Corona in China, the Government of India has started the process of applying booster vaccines of Corona to all the common people across the country. To protect people from the new variant of Corona, the new Covax vaccine (Covovax New Vaccine) has been prepared. Which will be approved in the next 10 to 15 days as a booster vaccine against COVID-19 in India.
In an event at Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Serum Institute of India (SII) Chief Executive Officer Adar Poonawalla told that the vaccine works very well against the Omicron variant of the corona virus. When asked about the states and districts not getting the Covishield vaccine, he said that the central government has enough stock for supply.
Covax is the best booster
Chief Executive Officer Adar Poonawalla said that Covax will get approval as a booster in the next 10-15 days. It really is the best booster as it works great against Omicrons more so than Covishield. All this has been possible because of the leadership of our central government, our state governments, health workers, manufacturers. Everyone worked together for a common goal.
Poonawala said that everyone is looking towards India today. Not only in terms of healthcare, but also because India has been successful in taking care of a large and diverse population. Also helped 70 to 80 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
no place like india
On this occasion, Poonawalla was honored with the Dr. Patangrao Kadam Memorial Award by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This program was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kadam, the late Minister of Western Maharashtra and a veteran of the education sector. Poonawalla appealed to the students who wish to pursue education abroad and said that there is no place like India to fulfill dreams because of Bharati Vidyapeeth and other institutions like it. Even if you have to go abroad, come back as soon as possible.
Approval sought for the use of Kovax
The DCGI had approved Covax for restricted use in emergency situations in adults on December 28, 2021, and for those aged 12-17, subject to certain conditions, on March 9. It was approved for restricted emergency use in children ages seven through seven. While the Indian administration allowed mixing and matching of vaccines late last year, it is not yet clear whether this will apply to Covax users. The Serum Institute has sought approval to use the vaccine as a booster dose for those 18 years of age and older who have been given two doses of Covishield or Covaxin.
