Corona’s active patients and positivity rate are decreasing in Delhi, but hospitalization is increasing. Experts say that the peak of corona may come soon in the capital.
The ups and downs in new cases of Corona in the country’s capital Delhi continue. In the last 24 hours, 928 cases have been registered, which is less than a day ago. The positivity rate of Corona in the capital has also come down from 10 percent to 7.08 percent. Along with this, a decrease in active cases has also been registered. So far this month, more than 17 thousand cases of corona have been reported in Delhi. Which is the highest since March, this has also led to an increase in hospitalization and at present more than 200 patients are admitted in hospitals, although it is a matter of relief that the symptoms of corona are mild in most of the infected.
According to the Delhi Health Department, before this, more than one thousand cases were coming daily in the capital. in which the deficiency has been recorded. With this, the recovery rate has also gone up to about 98 percent. Experts say that the peak of corona may come soon in Delhi. COVID expert Dr. Anshuman said that the cases of corona will continue to increase in Delhi, but the number of infected will not increase very much. Active cases are expected to be less than 10 thousand. Currently, cases are increasing due to Omicron sub variants, but none of the Omicron sub variants are fatal. The speed of infection from them is also not the same as that seen during the second wave.
According to Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of Loknayak Hospital, Delhi, most of the corona patients admitted to the hospital are those who are suffering from other diseases and have become corona infected. Serious symptoms have not been seen in any patient, but there is an appeal to people not to be careless about corona.
No fourth wave expected
Dr. Anshuman says that the cases of corona will increase every few months in the capital, but their speed will not be such that there is a danger. Dr. said that there is no new variant of Corona yet. The transition is happening only from the old variants. That’s why the cases are increasing a little bit. But due to increasing cases of corona every month or two, immunity is being created in people against this virus, which is acting like a natural vaccine. In such a situation, there is no possibility of a fourth wave of corona in Delhi at present.
