First wanted to do engineering
Sania Mirza said, ‘I have cleared the exam for NDA 149 course and now I have been selected in the finalist. I am going to join NDA on 27th December. I have completed my early education from my village itself. He said, ‘My inclination has been towards the science stream since the beginning. As a child, I wanted to do engineering. But due to non-availability of science stream here, I had to go to the city for further studies.
Talking about her school journey, Sania said, ‘I have studied from UP board. During school, I topped my school. In the board exam, I have topped the district from UP board.
Why chose to become a fighter pilot?
Explaining the reason for becoming a fighter pilot, Sania said, ‘Flight Lieutenant Avni Chaturvedi is the first woman fighter pilot of India. Flight Lieutenant Avani Chaturvedi is the first woman fighter pilot of India. I am inspired by him. When I came to know that she is the first woman pilot of India, but she was commissioned in the army in 2015. So I felt very sad.
Sania told, ‘I came to know that before 2015, women were not included in the fighter pilot role. Then I got passionate that I also have to do something like this and become a fighter pilot. So that girls can be inspired. After this the vacancy of NDA came. Out of 19 seats, two seats are for flying. I stood second in this and after giving the exam, I got selected for flying.
Want to inspire girls: Sania
Sania further said, I am very happy to achieve this achievement. I always wanted to motivate people. I always wanted to inspire girls to get educated. He said, ‘Usually in our society, instead of educating girls, all the dowry money is spent on their marriage. Very few girls pursue courses like B.Sc and B.Tech. There has been full support of the family. The family supported me throughout this journey.
