The two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp's electric vehicle brand Vida is going to launch an affordable electric scooter in the market soon. Vida V2 sells electric scooters, which is available in three variants V2 Pro, V2 Plus and V2 Lite. Now the new electric scooter is gearing up for the launch of VX2, which will be economical compared to V2.
The Vida VX2 electric scooter will be budget friendly on 1 July. Interestingly, the new scooter, TVS motor company, Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric and Ether Energy will compete in the Indian Electric Two-wheeler segment.
How much will the scooter range be
Vida VX2 will have the same features like Vida V2. Vida VX2 will have many battery pack options ranging from 2.2 kwh to 3.4 kwh unit. It is expected that VX2 will give a range of more than 100 kilometers once full charge. However, the range will depend on the battery pack variant. EV will easily pack removable battery for indoor charging or battery swapping.
How much will the price be
The initial price of Vida VX2 is expected to be around ₹ 1 lakh ex-showroom. However, the company has already revealed that the VX2 will come with the Battery-Ej-E-Service (BAAS) model, which the buyers will get with the subscription plan. With this, they will be able to subscribe separately. With this, customers will be able to pay the battery rent on running the scooter per kilometer. The funny thing is that the BAAS model can be priced at around ₹ 70,000 ex-showroom.
How will the design of the scooter be
Vida VX2 is shown online through a teaser video. It seems that the design of the electric scooter is like Vida Z electric scooter concept, shown in EICMA 2024. The electric scooter will come with a design that will be like V2. However, it will also have some different styling elements. There will be LED lighting back and forth. LED headlamps, LED indicators and LED taillights include integrated LED daytime running lights (DRL). It will have a flat seat, the basic togle button on the handler and a digital instrument cluster.
