NHAI said that those who do not put the fastag on the windscreen of the car properly, that is, keep it in a loose manner or keep it in hand, strict action will be taken against them. This is called 'loose fastag'.

If the fastag is not planted properly, then it has difficulty in scanning on the toll plaza. This slows down the process of toll collection. NHAI said in a statement that a new toll system like 'multi-lane free flow' will be implemented in the coming time. In such a situation, it is important that every vehicle has a fastag applied properly, so that the toll system works properly and there is no disturbance.

Immediate blacklist will be fastag

Now toll recovery agencies and vehicle owners have been instructed to give immediate information if there is a loose fastg on a vehicle. A separate email ID has also been given for this. NHAI said that whenever information about a loose fastag is received, that fastag will be immediately blacklisted. This step has been taken so that the work on the toll plaza goes smoothly, people do not have to face unnecessary delays and problems.

Government brought new fastag pass

The central government has announced that now a new annual pass is being started for Fastag users. Through this pass, people will be able to travel directly without filling the toll again and again. Fastag Annual Pass is a pass that will have to be purchased only once a year. Its price has been kept ₹ 3,000 and it can be purchased from 15 August 2025. This pass will only apply for private vehicles like car, jeep and van. From this, you can either cross the toll 200 times or travel for a year, which is also completed first.

Where will this pass will be valid?

This annual fastag pass will be valid only on the toll plaza run by NHAI. This means that this pass will not work on the state highway, private toll road and state expressway. Toll will have to be given separately there. This facility is beneficial for those who travel everyday or often on the highway. By paying at one time, you will get rid of the toll mess of a year.
