Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil and Ajit Pawar.
State President of Nationalist Sharad Pawar faction Jayant Patil has resigned from his post. He also indicated in this regard a few days ago. After this, now he has resigned from the post of state president today. After the resignation of Jayant Patil, now the responsibility of the state president has been given to Shashikant Shinde. After Jayant Patil's resignation, there is speculation that he will join Ajit Pawar's party NCP?
After the split of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), two groups were formed, out of which the party's symbol and the party's official name went to Ajit Pawar, nephew of Sharad Pawar. At the same time, Sharad Pawar had to satisfy the NCP Sharad Pawar faction with his few supporters.
After more than half of the party's cadre, including Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar survived some loyal leaders of which Jayant Patil has been closest to, but now the party president has left the state president and the speculation has intensified that he can go to Ajit Pawar, although no one is speaking openly.
NCP has broken even before
In 2019, when Ajit Pawar left uncle Sharad Pawar and took oath as Deputy Chief Minister in the 83 -hour BJP government. Since then, Jayant Patil was given the command of the post of state president. After this, when Ajit Pawar was convicted and he returned, Jayant Patil was still kept in the post of state president.
After this, when Ajit Pawar separated with the party's name and symbol in 2024, Sharad Pawar still kept the command of the state president of his party with Jayant Patil.
Jayant Patil in touch with Ajit Pawar
Now speculation about the political corridors has intensified that soon Jayant Patil will join Ajit Pawar's party. A leader of the Ajit Pawar faction said, “There is nothing special in the relationship between Jayant Patil and Ajit Pawar. Jayant Patil and Ajit Pawar have worked together. Ajit Pawar had invited Jayant Patil to come to him many times on the public stage.
It is not surprising that he will join Ajit Pawar's party. Both have worked together before. Even after separating in the opposition and the government, he has worked, so if he goes with Ajit Pawar then it is not surprising.
On the other hand, the big leader of Ajit Pawar faction said, “It is true that Jayant Patil is in touch, but his relationship is also very good with Devendra Fadnavis, so he has a lot of options in such a situation. It is discussed that Jayant Patil may come, but he will not come alone. They will come together if they come, or even 5-6 MLAs can be merged or the party can also be merged.”
If you go alone, the legislature will go
Jayant Patil has contested from Sharad Pawar's party NCP SP on Tutari's symbol, so if they change the party alone, they can be legitimate, but if two -thirds of the party's MLAs go with him with Ajit Pawar, then the legislature will remain.
Sources close to Jayant Patil said, “He had been trying to leave this post for many years. He took over this position on the request of Sharad Pawar. At the moment, if he leaves the party alone, his legislature will go away and then he will be able to join any party, but he will not do it without telling that without telling Sharad Pawar. There will be a loss of the party after the merger.
Amol Mitkari, the leader of Ajit Pawar's faction, told TV 9 Bharatvarsha, “Jayant Patil is currently the leader of the Sharad Pawar faction. He has resigned the post of state president by himself. The party has not left. It was discussed for several days that he will join a party, but we are now in the role of weight and watch, but their resignation gives birth to a political disturbance, but we will not say anything, but we will not say what we do not see?”
Shashikant Shinde will be the new state president
Shashikant Shinde, who is the MLA of NCP SP in the Legislative Council. Now his name was approved as the state president of the party. It will be announced at the party's general meeting on Tuesday.
Shashikant Shinde told TV 9 Bharatvarsha, “It is true that my name is discussed, but its official announcement will be made on the party's general meeting i.e. on July 15. I do not know why Jayant Patil Saheb resigned from the post of state president, but we all respect him and no truth in this matter.”
