Because in India, 70 percent import duty is levied on fully manufactured electric vehicles priced below $ 40,000. After this, the price of model Y can be much higher than $ 46,630 sold in the US after further fees.
Showroom will also open in New Delhi
Tesla's second Indian showroom is going to open in New Delhi by the end of July. The initial week at the Mumbai outlet will be for VIPs and Commerce partners, while it can be opened to the general public from next week. Talking about the dimensions of Tesla model Y, this car is quite practical in dimensions. Its length is about 4,797 mm, while the width is about 1,982 mm with folded side mirrors. Talking about the height, it goes up to about 1,624 mm. The ground clearance is 167 mm, which can be considered as good in terms of Indian roads.
