Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while answering the question of BJP MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar in the House said that a total of 3,367 loudspeakers have been removed from all religious places in Maharashtra as part of concrete efforts to curb noise pollution. Which includes religious places like temple, mosque, church, gurudwara etc. He said that there are no loudspeakers in Maharashtra anymore.
In fact, BJP MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar had expressed serious concern over the problems of wildlife about noise pollution in the state.
Work done without any communal tension
The CM said in the House that the Mumbai Police has been successful in removing 1,608 loudspeakers from the places of worship alone in Mumbai, and this achievement has been achieved without any religious or communal tension. He said that loudspeakers will no longer be installed at any religious places in Mumbai.
Local police responsible for loudspeaker again
Devendra Fadnavis warned the police that if the loudspeakers are rejoined at a religious site without the permission of the officers, then all the responsibility of this will be of the local police station officer.
Loudspeaker not a single religious place in Mumbai
While answering the questions of BJP leader Sudhir, the CM said in the House that till now 3367 religious site loud speakers have been removed. Loud speakers of 1608 religious places were removed in Mumbai, including 1149 mosques, 48 temples, 10 churches, 4 gurudwaras and 147 other places. He said that there is not a loudspeaker at a single religious place in Mumbai right now.
