The report said that the aircraft was at a speed of about 180 knots IAS and immediately after that, the fuel cutoff switch of the engine 1 and the engine was cut off from one after the other within 1 second. Pilot released alert

The aircraft flew at 1.38 am. At 1.39 minutes, the pilot issued an alert of Mayday Mayday Mayday. The report said, the ATCO (Air Traffic Controller) inquired about the call sign. The ATCO received no response, but they saw the aircraft crashed outside the airport boundary and activated the emergency response.

Aircraft crashed

The plane went and crashed into the hostel of BJ Medical College. Out of 242 present in the aircraft, 241 people died. At the same time, 30 students present in the hostel also died in this accident.

Who were both pilots?

The report stated that RAM Air Turbine (RAT) was deployed immediately after the flying, as seen in the CCTV footage of the airport. RAT is deployed when a dual engine malfunction or a completely electronic or hydraulic failure.

Earlier in the 1980s, a pilot of Delta Air Lines Inc. accidentally stopped the fuel of the Boeing 767 engine, which he was blowing. But in that condition, he managed to start it again as the aircraft was high in the sky, which averted the accident.
