Marathi school started in Mumbai.

The political fierce battle continues in Maharashtra over Marathi and Hindi language disputes. The incident of Raj Thackeray's party MNS beating many people has also come to light after not speaking Marathi. Especially in areas like Meera Road in Mumbai, language -based tension has been seen. In this background, now political parties BJP and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have started a creative and positive initiative, which aims to increase social harmony and promote Marathi language.

MNS has started an initiative called 'Marathi Pathshala' for Amarathi traders in Borivali west. Through this school, Marathi language is being taught to non-Marathi traders doing business in Mumbai, so that they can establish better communication with local citizens.

Marathi language is being taught to non -Marathas

The traders voluntarily participated in this program and with the help of MNS workers, twelve Marathi words, daily use phrases and words related to business dialogue. Many traders participating in the event described it as useful and said that learning local language is not only commercially profitable, but it also reduces social distance.

A local businessman said, “Local language knowledge is necessary while doing business here.” At the same time, MNS officials made it clear about this initiative that Marathi is not just a language, but the identity of this land. Our aim is to respect local culture and language in Mumbai. We are not pressurizing anyone, but this stubbornness of learning Marathi will continue in future also.

BJP announces free Marathi language classes

Amid the controversy between Marathi and Hindi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has also decided to start free Marathi classes for non -Marathi citizens. BJP spokesperson and President of Hindi Sahitya Bharti Maharashtra, Prof. Dr. Dayanand Tiwari said that these classes will be held every Sunday in Santa Cruz and Sion. Waiting person will be able to register in classes by registering without any fee.

These classes will be taught Marathi voices, cuisine, pronunciation, general terminology and daily conversation. This initiative has been taken keeping in mind the driver, security guards, vegetable sellers and small businessmen. Those who get good knowledge of Marathi language will be given a Hindi translation of Dnyaneshwari as Saint Dnyaneshwar.
