India's star Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has won another title by continuing his dominance. The title is none other than no one else, but Neeraj did this wonders in the new tournament started by his own name. In the first Neeraj Chopra classic tournament held in Bengaluru, Indian star Neeraj captured the title with the biggest throw. Neeraj won the championship with an 86.18 meter throw in the first edition of this 12 Javelin thrower from India and around the world.
Neeraj became champion
The tournament was postponed in May due to India-Pakistan tension, after which it was decided to organize it on 5 July. On Saturday, the first edition of this event was finally held at Sri Kantirwa Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday and Neeraj won its title as expected. Neeraj threw 86.18 meters in his third attempt and finally it was enough to win.
In this event, Julius Jeo of former world champion Kenya was in second place, who achieved 84.51 meters. At the third place, Sri Lanka's Ramesh Patirage was the best throw of 84.34 meters. In this event, former Olympic champion Thomas Roaler of Germany had also participated but he could not do anything special and he was out after 3 throw. Out of this, two of his throw were foul. His best attamination was 75.85 meters.
India's first major tournament
This tournament has been started in the honor of the achievements of Neeraj Chopra, who makes Jewelin throw popular in India and leads the country to high in the world. JSW Sports, a major sports company in the country, Neeraj, the Indian Athletics Federation and World Athletics jointly started the event and it was named Neeraj Chopra Classic only after seeing Neeraj's successes. It also became the first international level Javelin Throw (Gold Level) tournament in India.
