Khemka was counted among a well-known businessman of Bihar. Khemka was shot dead by a motorcycle -riding attacker in front of his residence in Patna's Gandhi Maidan area on Friday night. The incident was carried out at around 11.40 pm when Khemka arrived in his car, as soon as he was shot by the attacker who came out to go to the house by car. According to Khemka's family, Khemka's son was shot dead by criminals in Hajipur six years ago.

Nitish Kumar held a high level meeting

After the incident, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over the state's law and order review meeting on Saturday. Several senior police officers of the state including Director General of Police Vinay Kumar were present in the meeting. The Khemka murder case was also discussed in this meeting. In the meeting, Nitish Kumar emphasized that law and order is the top priority of the NDA government. He also warned of strict action against the policemen who were negligent.
