About a month ago, the team of Excise Department raided the composite liquor shop in Bhadrasen Hasanpur Dagra village of Saidpur police station area of Ghazipur, UP. In the raid, it was known that the shop was sold by mixing water in liquor. Taking action on this, the shop was seized. Also, the shop owner and salesmen were arrested.
Now in this case, the District Officer has given the verdict during the hearing and canceled the shop completely. After this decision of the district officer, there is a situation of stir among shopkeepers engaged in liquor business in the district, because in this way many other shops are also operating in the district.
Excise department raided after complaint
In fact, the officials of the Excise Department came to know about a month ago through a complaint that the composite here was sold at the liquor shop and sold water by mixing water in it. On receiving this complaint, excise officials reached the shop. After this, when investigated, the matter was found correct. Then at the same time with immediate effect, the owner and salesmen of the shop were handed over to the Saidpur police. The police arrested both.
Barcode was wrong on liquor bottles
During the investigation, the team found beer holograms and stickers on English liquor bottles. When the Excise Department team examined the bottles of liquor, the intensity of the standard of bottles was 33.6 instead of 42.8. Similarly, during the investigation, a total of 87 English liquor bottles were also found wrong.
In this case, the District Excise Officer revoked the shop with immediate effect. After this, a letter was sent to the District Officer for hearing the case, on which the district officer has also heard the liquor shop in this case.
