The UP government has approved the new building construction subdivision, under which commercial construction can be legalized on residential plots on 24 meters or wide roads. This decision is expected to benefit about one lakh people in Lucknow, whose commercial construction was considered illegal in residential areas.
Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice -president Prathamesh Kumar said that under the new sub -method, business activities will now be allowed on residential plots located on more than 24 meters wide roads. Earlier such constructions were considered illegal, and sealing or demolition action was taken by the LDA. Now these constructions can be legalized through mitigation map. Apart from this, there will also be a facility to remove the old construction and pass the map afresh. Also, there will be no restriction on the height of the building, because the floor area ratio (FAR) will also be increased.
Planned development and LDA income will increase
LDA VC Prathamesh Kumar said that the new sub -method will promote the development planned in the city and illegal construction will be curbed. Passing a large number of maps will also increase the income of LDA. More than 70 km of roads in the city are wide than 24 meters, including areas like Aliganj, Gomtinagar, Jankipuram, Ashiana. Apart from this, the main roads of the city also come under this purview, which will benefit a large number of people.
Happiness, employment opportunities will increase in traders
The new rules have been welcomed by the traders. President of All India Industries Trade Board Sandeep Bansal said that this decision will provide employment opportunities to millions of people, increase government revenue and decrease in corruption. President of Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Amarnath Aggarwal and General Minister Yogendra Singh said that the exemption to build a shop on residential buildings up to 100 square meters and shops up to 30 meters will provide new employment opportunities to small traders, especially youth and women.
