JP Nadda, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah
From the point of view of the BJP government and the organization, the final decision has not been made in the name of the state presidents in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat. Somewhere there is a challenge to keep caste balance, then the pressure of organization versus familism. The BJP is trying to solve the organizational puzzle in these states these days. Because in these states, the issue is not only for appointment but the strategy of 2027 and 2029 elections is based on these decisions.
First of all, talk about Uttar Pradesh. The election of the state president in UP remains the biggest headache for the BJP. Even after the completion of the term of UP President Bhupendra Chaudhary, no name is being decided till now. In fact, after the shock in the last Lok Sabha election, the BJP wants to re -cultivate caste equations once again in Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, the state president of UP has not been able to create an opinion between the union and the top central leaders of the BJP. In the UP, the BJP has also been divided under the leadership of which class leader should be made a face. While the BJP is in favor of making the top leadership OBC and Brahmin the state president, the RSS officials are in favor of trying the Dalit card in the state.
Decision will be taken in UP after long thinking
In the event of not becoming an opinion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stopped the decision on UP at the moment and after the PM's return to the foreign tour, after the same long thinking churning, now a decision can be taken there. There is also speculation that UP can be decided on the state president after the election of BJP National President.
By the way, in the event of consent, churning has already been released on the faces coming from Dalit, OBC and Brahmin class for the post of Uttar Pradesh President. Dharmapal Singh, BL Verma, Swatantra Dev Singh, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Baburam Nishad, from the OBC society, have been discussing the names of leaders like Ramashankar Katheria, Vidyasagar Sonkar, Vinod Sonkar and Harish Dwivedi from Vinod Sonkar and Brahmin Samaj from time to time.
State President announced in 6 out of 9 states of North
In 6 states out of 9 states of the north, the party has announced the state president, while the state president is yet to be announced in three states. The special thing is that out of the six states where the state president has been elected, the BJP has tried to sit the social equation by giving the command of the state president to OBCs in two states and general class leaders in four states. It is believed that in the event of not being a Dalit state president in the surrounding states, now the party can play a new political bet in UP and a Dalit leader can be given the command of the party.
The BJP has many experiments of social engineering in the surrounding states adjacent to Uttar Pradesh. In Rajasthan, Madan Rathore has been elected as the state president who belongs to the OBC. At the same time, in Bihar, the party has given the command of the state to Dilip Jaiswal and he also belongs to the OBC. In Madhya Pradesh, the party has given this responsibility to Hemant Khandelwal which is from the Vaishya (general) class.
OBCs among two of six states and upper castes in four states
Apart from these three states, Mahendra Bhatt, who comes from Brahmin society in Uttarakhand, has been given the command, while in Himachal Pradesh, Rajiv Bindal has been elected by the party as the state president and they come from the Vaishya Samaj (general) class. At the same time, BJP has given command to Kiran Singh Dev in Chhattisgarh who belongs to the Rajput (general) class, that is, the party has bet on OBCs in two states around UP and upper caste faces in two states around UP before announcing the president in UP, while three states near UP have not been announced in Jharkhand, Delhi and Haryana.
It is necessary for BJP to balance the organization and power in Uttar Pradesh. The government of UP is running under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, who comes from Rajput society. In such a situation, there is a churn on giving a big social message by handing over the command of the party organization to a Dalit or backward leader.
Accused of dynasty in Karnataka
On the other hand, the internal discord of the party in Karnataka is harassing the BJP's internal discord. BJP's strong leader and former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa wants his son Vijayendra to be made the state president again, but a big faction of senior leaders of the party in Karnataka is opposing Vijayendra. She is rejecting Vijayendra's candidature by alleging dynasty in this decision. But the BJP is looking towards the central leadership 2029 election politics.
Since the Lingayat Samaj in Karnataka is a very important class in the point of view of the vote bank, the party's Lingayat face has always been Yeddyurappa and his family, so she does not want to take the risk of annoying them. Therefore, no decision can be taken in Karnataka so far. In the event of not making Vijayendra, the BJP can make a leader coming from a cast neutral class the state president who has the ability to take everyone along. In such a situation, a leader can be made a face from the Brahmin class who gets the blessings of Yeddyurappa.
High command can surprise in Gujarat
As far as Gujarat is concerned, it has always been a BJP laboratory. Here too, two months after the announcement of district presidents, suspense remains in the name of the state president. There is a lot of discussion on who will replace CR Patil, but before the decision, the party can bring a shocking name, as it has been doing before. Party experts say that every time the high command in Gujarat gives surprise. Be Vijay Rupani, Jeetu Vaghani or Bhupendra Patel was all appointed to surprise.
The OBC and Dalit factor can be important in the appointment of the state president in Gujarat. Now it is to be seen whether the party cleans the picture of the organization by appointing the state presidents in these states after returning from the Prime Minister's foreign tour or will directly get involved in the election of the national president.
