MP Pappu Yadav
The opposition is constantly raising questions about the special intensive revision (SIR) of Bihar's voter list. Meanwhile, MP Pappu Yadav has made a big announcement. He has said that Bihar bandh has been called on 9 July. During this time, the Election Commission will also be cordoned off. Pappu Yadav has also demanded the opposition to support this bandh.
At the same time, he tweeted and wrote, 'Blo (booth level officer) is also a humble urge to all the youth of Bihar, Dalits, extremely backward, minority and people of society. He is calling us and telling us, he is also under the severe pressure of the government. They are being tortured for voter revision. If that village comes home, do not let them do any work with love.
He said, 'Give the BLO comfortably, make it sit, do not fill any form. Do not let the form distribute. Dedicate all their forms to fire. Do not misbehave with them, they are our own. He is a victim of the mentality of slavery of the government's psyche son of Firangi. They too have to liberate the oppression of this responsible government.
What is the Election Commission saying?
Regarding SIR, the Election Commission (ECI) says that this is a process that is legally compulsory. At the same time, opposition parties allege that “millions of” real voters, especially poor, migrant and marginalized voters can be out of the list. The Election Commission said that this amendment taking place after 22 years is in line with the Constitution and Public Representation Act. At the same time, the opposition parties claim that this time is close to the assembly elections and it can be “rigged in voter base”. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar says that there is nothing more transparent than law in democracy. Despite the apprehensions of some people, SIR will ensure that all eligible persons are involved in it.
