Russia became the first country to recognize
This decision has come when most of the countries of the world have not yet recognized the Taliban as the official government. This is considered a major strategic change in Russia's foreign policy. At the same time, Russia has become the first country to formally recognize the Taliban government in Afghanistan. At the same time, organizations like the United Nations (UN) and European Union (EU) have not yet recognized the Taliban.
'A good example for other countries'
Following this historic decision of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Afghanistan's Foreign Ministry called it an important step. Taliban's Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Mottaki welcomed this decision and described it as a good example for other countries. The Taliban's Foreign Ministry said, 'The Russian ambassador has informed about the decision to give official recognition to the current government of Afghanistan. It symbolizes the growing relationship between Taliban and Russia '.
