Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday for the second phase of his visit to five countries. He was loudly welcomed at Piyarko International Airport. PM Modi's grand welcome at the airport
Earlier, 38 ministers and four MPs welcomed PM Modi along with Prime Minister of Caribbean nation Kamala Prasad-Bissar at Piyro International Airport in Port of Spain. This is the first visit of PM Modi as Prime Minister and since 1999 is the first bilateral visit of an Indian Prime Minister to the Caribbean nation. The yatra is taking place at the invitation of Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Prasad-Bissar.
During the visit, PM Modi will interact with the top leadership of Trinidad and Tobago to further strengthen bilateral relations. During his two-day stay from July 3 to 4, PM Modi will hold a meeting with President Christine Carla Kangalu and Prime Minister Kamla Prasad-Bissar, where bilateral talks will take place. The purpose of these meetings is to create more relations between the two countries.
