The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has now announced a new facility to the drivers traveling on the highway. Highway Yatra Mobile App will now tell drivers the way between two cities, where the lowest toll will have to be given. In this app, complete information related to the National Highway is available and there is also the facility to register a complaint.
Talking to the Ous Agency, Amrit Singha, Chief Product Officer of the Indian Highway Management Company (IHMCL), said that if there are three ways to go from Delhi to Lucknow, then this app will show the best and lowest toll route.
The app will tell which route will be the cheapest
For example, going from Delhi to Lucknow via Yamuna Expressway, via Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur, or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur. The app will tell which of these routes will be the cheapest. Singha also said that two-wheelers and three-wheelers enter the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and Dwarka Expressway, breaking the rules. According to information received from NHAI's Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS), the rules were broken between June 21 and June 23, out of which more than one lakh banned vehicles were entered.
Jaipur can reach in 3 hours
The Chief Product Officer also informed that NHAI will soon open a 67 km long new route connecting the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which will go from Bandikui to Jaipur. This will reduce travel time. In Rajasthan, NHAI regional officer Pradeep Atri said that this new four-lane Bandikui-Jaipur road, which is built at a cost of ₹ 1,368 crore, can be operational for trial in July. It took about two and a half years to make it and this will reduce traffic pressure on Delhi-Jaipur old highway. Currently it takes about 4 hours to go from Delhi to Jaipur. 2.5 hours from Delhi to Bandikui and then 1.5 hours from Bandikui to Jaipur. But when the new path is operational, this journey will be completed in 3 hours.
