Nowadays, cases of heart diseases and heart attack are increasing. Do you know that the health of the nerves of the feet is largely associated with the health of the heart, that is, if there is blockage or malfunction in the veins of the feet, then the possibility of heart attack or heart attack increases. This condition is called peripheral artery disease i.e. peripheral artery disease or pad in medical language.

Peripheral artery disease is a condition in which cholesterol or fat accumulates in the arteries of the feet, causing problems in the blood flow and when the veins of the feet are blocked, oxygen and nutrients do not reach the right amount to all the organs. These conditions are not limited to the feet only, but the possibility of blockage increases in other arteries of the body i.e. artery. Due to which the risk of heart attack or stroke increases.

What are the symptoms of peripheral artery disease

Associate Professor Dr. Ajit Jain in Cardiology Department at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital It is said that the symptoms of kperifral artery disease are often very light, which people often ignore. Often in peripheral artery disease, the patient has pain or cramps when walking or climbing the ladder, which is often cured when relaxed. Apart from this, swelling can also occur in the feet, ankles or claws. Some patients may also feel cool in the feet or the feet may be blue or light purple. Sometimes feet can also be numb. The skin of the feet can also be dry, rough or nails thick and yellow. If there are such signs, then they should contact the doctor immediately, not ignoring at all.

Blockage in the veins of the feet related to heart attack?

Blockeage in the veins of the feet is often an indication that blockage can also be made in other arteries of the body. If this process continues even in the arteries of the heart, then the risk of heart attack may increase manifold. Often patients with peripheral artery disease are many times higher than heart attack and brain stroke than other people.

Why is peripheral artery disease?

Causes of obesity, reduced physical activity, cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes or smoking may increase the risk of peripheral artery disease. Apart from this, if there are problems related to heart in the family of a person, then there is more possibility of heart problems in that too.

How to rescue?

Regular exercise, yoga is good, because it also keeps the heart healthy and weight is also controlled. Apart from this, all nutrients should be included in the food. Smoking or alcohol intake should be stopped immediately.

Regular blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol should be tested.

If any unusual symptoms are seen in the feet, then the doctor should be consulted immediately. On the advice of a doctor, medicine should be taken or the medicine should be changed. Also, investigation should also be done if needed.
