The representation of the applicant dated 04.11.2019 is accepted and his appeal for grant of parity with Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan is considered. He further said, ‘The life ban imposed on him by the order of the BCCI Disciplinary Committee dated 18.01.2016 is reduced to a period of 7 years.’
Chandila will return
Earlier in the year 2017, the life ban of Sreesanth was also lifted by the Kerala High Court. After this, Sreesanth now took the field against Meghalaya in Ranji Trophy 2022 with Kerala. At the same time, Ankit also started playing with a club in Mumbai after the ban was lifted. Now it has to be seen whether Chandila will return to which team and from where.
