Russia Ukraine war: The United Nations was trying to negotiate to bring out the people trapped in Mariupol. Around one lakh people are trapped there.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (Boris Johnson) in talks with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to the United Nations (UN) for the safe evacuation of people from the Ukrainian city of Mariupol (United Nations) to discuss the progress of the effort. This information was given in an official statement. During the talks, Johnson also offered to provide Britain’s “continuous economic and humanitarian assistance” to Ukraine, the statement said. Since the beginning of the war with Russia, Britain has been helping it fiercely. Britain has also given him a large amount of weapons. Russia has also been angry with Britain about this.
Johnson’s Downing Street office said: “The prime minister is more committed than ever to strengthen Ukraine and thwart (Russian President Vladimir Putin), seeing how hard Ukrainians are working for their independence. Huh.’ “They confirmed that the UK will continue to provide additional military assistance to Ukraine to provide it with the equipment needed for its defence,” the statement said. The United Nations was trying to reach an agreement to bring out the people trapped in Mariupol. Around one lakh people are trapped there. Around one thousand people are trapped in the steel plant, which are being evacuated.
Some people evicted from steel plant
At the same time, some civilians were safely evacuated from a steel plant in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, immediately after which Russian forces resumed shelling. Ukrainian National Guard brigade commander Denes Shlega said in a televised interview on Sunday that it would take at least one more operation to completely evacuate civilians from the Azovstal steel mill. Apart from a large number of adults, many small children are hiding in bunkers under the steel plant. Shalega said that as soon as the rescue team stopped evacuating civilians from the plant, the shelling started.
He told that according to an estimate, hundreds of civilians and about 500 injured soldiers are still trapped in the plant and a large number of dead bodies are lying there. This is the only part of Mariupol that Russian troops have not been able to capture. Earlier on Sunday, in a video released by Russia’s Defense Ministry, people were seen coming out of the plant, including a group of women and two pet dogs with them.
