The flight had to land in London on Sunday after a passenger on board American Airlines’ New York-Delhi flight (AA292) suddenly fell ill.

Due to this, about 200 passengers aboard the flight are stranded in London for the last two days.
An official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that an unscheduled London-Delhi flight was to be operated before Wednesday. But it could not be operated due to the completion of duty time of the crew members. The official said that the airline appealed for a change in the flight number as it was an unscheduled flight. After which DGCA immediately provided a new number. The official said that the airline has informed that the London-Delhi flight will be operated on Wednesday i.e. today.
