The entire incident of this brutal police action was recorded in a CCTV installed there, which was released after the protests. The video is being told of 31 minutes, in which there is no sound. Two minutes in, police officers are seen pinning Nichols to the ground. As someone kneels on his torso, another officer kicks him repeatedly. CCTV footage shows that six police officers were present on the spot.

Four videos related to the case have been released, in one video Nichols can allegedly be heard saying, “I didn’t do anything.” On this a police officer says, “Good! you did not do anything.” An officer can also be heard saying ‘Get up from the ground’. In one video, the police officer is purportedly saying, “Young black male, slim body, blue jeans and a hoodie.” No concrete action has been taken in this matter so far.
