Sirajuddin Haqqani is the son of the founder of Haqqani Network. Also wanted by the American investigative agency FBI. He is associated with Al Qaeda and has also been involved in several suicide attacks. Taliban chief Habitullah Akhundzada has been appointed as the country’s Supreme Leader.
In the midst of all this, it has been claimed by the British media that Mullah Baradar, who was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, has been taken hostage. According to British magazine Spectator, the video of Baradar that came in the past is from the time when he was taken hostage.
Along with this, the magazine has also claimed the death of Akhundzada. Baradar is absent after violent clashes with Haqqani during government formation talks. According to The Spectator, he is a baradar. He has organized a big meeting of tribal elders for his support. But in the meantime, Baradar read a statement on the state television network controlled by the Taliban.
