External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday met his Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod and reviewed the progress of joint working groups in various fields. In addition, he initiated important health cooperation to strengthen the bilateral Green Strategic Partnership. Jaishankar, who arrived in Denmark from a trip to Croatia, was welcomed here by Queen Margrethe II.

On the previous day, the Foreign Minister addressed the ‘Gymnich Meeting’ of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU). During this there was a “comprehensive discussion” on the Indo-Pacific, the situation in Afghanistan and India-EU relations. Jaishankar is on a four-day visit to Slovenia, Croatia and Denmark to enhance India-EU ties and to hold bilateral talks. Jaishankar tweeted, ‘Addressed the Gymnich meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Bled, Slovenia. There was a fruitful discussion on Indo-Pacific, Afghanistan and India-EU relations. He thanked his Slovenian counterpart Ange Logar for the invitation.
