This was informed by Kyiv Post on Monday. A group of 25 people led by the Russian Special Service was apprehended by Ukrainian authorities near the Slovakia-Hungary border. According to reports, the sole purpose of this military group was to hide Zelensky. Zelensky has been claimed to have been attacked several times since the start of the war. But he has escaped safely.
A tweet by the Kyiv Post said, ‘Another attempt to attack the life of Vladimir Zelensky has failed. This time, a group of 25 people led by Russia’s Special Service has been apprehended near the Slovakia-Hungarian border. Their motive was to assassinate the President of Ukraine. Ukraine’s President Zelensky has claimed he is Moscow’s “number one target” since Russia began the war on February 24. Zelensky also issued a warning about the groups creating frenzy in Russia. He had said that these groups have entered Kyiv and they are looking for me and my family.

Earlier, on March 4, The Times had reported that Zelensky had been assassinated three times in the last week of February. The report claimed that two different groups were sent to kill Zelensky. Both these groups included mercenaries from the Kremlin-backed Wagner Group and soldiers from the Chechen Special Forces. The news of a second attempt to assassinate Zelensky comes at a time when Russia and Ukraine are due to hold personal talks in Turkey between today and Wednesday. It is believed that in this dialogue, there will be a discussion about the restoration of peace.
Ukraine wants peace without delay: Zelensky
At the same time, Zelensky has said that Ukraine wants to establish peace with Russia without delay. For this he can declare neutrality. Along with this, security guarantees will also be offered to Russia. Zelensky reiterated that only face-to-face talks with the Russian leader could end the war. Ukraine’s president insisted that Ukraine’s priority was to ensure its sovereignty and prevent Moscow from isolating part of his country, which some Western countries say is Russia’s goal.
