Russia Coal Mine Accident: A major accident has happened in Siberia, Russia. Here 52 people have died in a fire in a coal mine of Kemerovo region. Including six rescuers. The incident happened on Thursday. It is believed to be the deadliest mine accident in the country in five years. According to the Russian news agency TASS, preliminary investigation has revealed that there was no chance to rescue any survivors in the Listvyazhnaya mine. Many bodies are still inside, efforts are being made to bring them out to the surface.
Earlier it was reported that 11 miners have died due to ventilation problem due to coal fumes. Who were working at a depth of 250 meters (Russia Mine Incident). The local administration says that 38 people have been admitted to the hospital, out of which four are in critical condition and 13 others have been treated without admission. There were 285 people working underground at the time of the accident and most of them were pulled out of the mine early.

Rescuers and police reached here as soon as the information about the incident was received. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his ‘deepest condolences’ to the families of the dead. At the same time, the Kemerovo region has announced three days of mourning from Friday to Sunday.
Incident investigation started
Russia’s investigative committee has started an investigation into the incident for violating security rules. In the investigation, it will be ascertained that what has been the reason behind the blast. The government says that all possible help will be provided to the injured. This is not the first such incident. In 2004, there was a methane explosion in this mine, in which 13 people died.
