UAE commended for its support in the pandemic
This conversation between PM Modi and Sheikh Mohammed comes in the midst of developments after the Taliban’s capture of Afghanistan and the withdrawal of US troops from the war-torn country. In this discussion, Modi appreciated the UAE’s cooperation to the Indian community during the COVID-19 epidemic and also extended his best wishes for the Expo-2020 to be held in Dubai from October 1, 2021.

The PMO said that the two leaders also discussed regional issues of common interest. The two leaders agreed that there is no place for terrorism and extremism in the world and stressed the importance of the international community standing together against such forces, the statement said.
