Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Qureshi and ISI Chief Lt. reached Kabul to meet again with the Taliban. General Faiz Hamid

This visit of Qureshi is of one day.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul with ISI Chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed on Thursday. It is being told that Qureshi has come here to hold talks with the Taliban.

Information about Qureshi’s one-day visit has been given by the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan. The ministry has said that during this visit, the Pakistani delegation will meet other Afghan leaders of Afghanistan’s caretaker foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaki.

Qureshi visits after Moscow format

According to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, the talks between the two sides will focus on strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation in different areas. The External Affairs Minister will also share Pakistan’s perspective on issues of regional peace and stability. The Pakistani delegation has visited Afghanistan at a time when officials of China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Russia have recently met in Moscow. Next week the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors and Russia are to meet in Iran’s capital Tehran.

The Taliban regime has remained isolated since its occupation of Afghanistan on August 15. He wants that he should get global recognition, but all the countries of the world have refused to recognize him. At the same time, Pakistan is trying its best that all the countries of the world give recognition to the Taliban.

Earlier ISI chief went to Kabul

On 4 September, Lieutenant General Hameed suddenly reached Kabul. Then the Taliban was struggling to form a government. Three days after his visit, the Taliban announced an interim government. The Taliban has often been influenced by Pakistan and played an important role in their peace talks with the US. This was the result of the Doha Agreement in February 2020. The Afghan government led by former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani often accused Pakistan of aiding the Taliban. However, Pakistan repeatedly denied these allegations.

Meeting in Iran on 27 October

Apart from all this, Iran is going to organize a meeting on Afghanistan on 27 October. This has been confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. This meeting is also being organized by Russia. Apart from Russia and Iran, foreign ministers of China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will attend the meeting. During a press conference recently, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibjada has announced this. He said that all those countries are being included in this meeting whose borders are with Afghanistan.
