The first lady had got the covid vaccine

Both President Alvi and his wife Samina had taken both shots of the COVID vaccine. President Alvi had said that senior citizens in Pakistan are being vaccinated according to their age. Pakistan has recently announced that children above 15 years of age will be given Pfizer vaccine in the country.

On Wednesday, 2,333 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Pakistan, due to which the number of infected people has increased to 1,221,367. In 24 hours 47 people have also lost their lives due to this epidemic. The figures of COVID in Pakistan are released by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

Vaccine age reduced

Of the 47 deaths that have occurred due to COVID, Punjab province has the highest number of 21 people. At present, 4,641 patients of the country are in ICU. The NCOC told after the meeting that people in the age group of 15 to 18 years would be given a dose of Pfizer’s anti-Covid-19 vaccine. Mobile vaccination teams will go to schools and colleges to vaccinate students in this age group.

Last month, the vaccination age was lowered from 18 to 17 in order to give students a dose of the vaccine, but now it has been lowered so that more students can be vaccinated.

NCOC chief Asad Umar has said that Pakistan is committed to vaccinate around 70 million people by the end of this year. So far more than 2.16 crore people have been fully vaccinated and more than 5.08 crore people have been given a single dose of vaccine.

Asad Umar has already warned that those who have not got the COVID-19 vaccine will not be allowed to work from office from this month onwards. Asad Umar said that those who have not vaccinated will not be able to enter shopping malls or travel by public transport after 30 September and they will also not be allowed to travel by air.
