Not only this, with the help of this amendment, now the Parliament can also interfere in the decision of the Supreme Court. Former Israeli PM Yair Lapid has termed this law as the most corrupt law ever. He also accused Netanyahu of protecting himself under the guise of this.

During the protest against the government, on Monday, the biggest trade strike in the history of Israel was done. On the issue of amendment in the law, the country’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has been sacked by the government. In fact, a day earlier Yoav had asked the government to postpone this amendment. He had said that it can be avoided for the time being, otherwise a terrible situation can arise in the country. However, according to media reports, Yoav may return to the government. But at the moment no official statement has come on this.
President appeals for U-turn
In view of the uncontrollable situation in the entire country, President Isaac Herzog has appealed to PM Netanyahu to take a U-turn. During street demonstrations across the country, President Herzog appealed to PM Netanyahu to reconsider and reverse it. On behalf of America, the White House has expressed concern over these conditions in Israel. At the same time, in the matter of sacking the Defense Minister, the resignations of Israeli embassies all over the world are being given. The former deputy chief of the IDF has appealed for this resignation.
