Indian Students China: Indian students may return to China soon. China has agreed to give visa. Now the decision will be taken on the flights going to Beijing.
China’s restrictions on COVID-19 (China Indian StudentsDue to this, the way for the return of thousands of Indian students who have been stuck in their homes for two years now seems to be getting easier. China has agreed to give them visas. Indian Ambassador to Beijing Pradeep Kumar Rawat has met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on this issue. After which it is being said that China has agreed to give visas to Indian students. Direct flight from Delhi to Beijing (Delhi to Beijing Flight) but will be decided soon. So far China has not given direct flights to the students.
Earlier it was reported that Pradeep Kumar Rawat has discussed with Wang the issue of the return of students including the issue of resumption of direct flights disrupted by the corona virus epidemic. The Indian Embassy gave this information on Thursday. The complicated issue of the return of Indian students also came up in the talks between India’s Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday.
Wang recalls meeting Jaishankar
Wang recalled his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar during his visit to New Delhi in March this year. The Indian embassy press statement quoted Wang as saying that the Chinese side attached importance to the concerns of the Indian side regarding the return of Indian students and hoped for early progress on this. The press release said that Wang also referred to the talks between the two countries on restoring direct flight connectivity.
“Ambassador Rawat informed that the concerned agency in India is looking into the matter and we can see the progress in the matter very soon,” he said. China has started allowing some foreign students to return to their country in recent months. The first batch of 90 students from Pakistan reached Xian city of China on 20 June. These students stayed at home for nearly two years due to China’s strict visa restrictions. Similarly, stranded students from some other countries including Russia and Sri Lanka are being gradually allowed to return.
In April, after repeated messages from India, China had agreed to allow the return of some Indian students and asked the Indian embassy here to collect information on students seeking to return. According to the official report of China, more than 23,000 Indian students are studying in Chinese colleges. More than 12,000 Indian students have expressed their desire to return and their information has been sent to the Chinese government for further processing.
