A senior bureaucrat in Pakistan has shown similarities between the country’s government and the Taliban government in Afghanistan on social media platforms. According to the Dawn newspaper report, according to a statement of allegations issued by the Establishment Division on Monday, an inquiry has been ordered against Hammad Shamimi, a senior joint secretary of the Cabinet Division.
According to reports, Hammad Shami had posted a comment on a social media page/platform, which amounted to misconduct under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) 2020 Rules. Subsequently, Shamimi’s alleged post in Urdu was reissued through a notification of the Establishment Division. In it he wrote, ‘One similarity between PTI (Imran Khan’s party) and the Taliban is that both are figuring out how to run the government only after assuming power. And the center of hope for both of them is Abpara. After this statement of the senior bureaucrat, there was panic.
Notification issued, order of inquiry
There is a place in the capital Islamabad, Aabpara, which is often considered in the media as a synonym for Inter-Services Intelligence or ISI, as it is the office of the Pakistani Intelligence Agency. The report said that in a separate notification issued by the Establishment Division on Monday, an inquiry has been ordered against Shamimi. “The Prime Minister has designated Director General of FIA Sanaullah Abbasi (PSWBS-22) as the Authority to conduct the investigation proceedings against Hammad,” the inquiry order said.
Government employees are not allowed to post without the permission of the government
Notification It said that the inquiry should be completed within 60 days, while the Inquiry Officer would have to submit an inquiry report to the authority within seven days of the completion of the investigation with clear findings. The Establishment Division had on August 25 issued a notification barring government employees from participating in any media platform without the permission of the government. In the notification, all government employees were warned that violation of instructions would amount to misconduct and disciplinary action would be taken against the guilty government employee.
