There is a terrible fire in the forests of Chile. Due to this, 13 people have died so far and hundreds of lives and property have been damaged. The fire has spread over 14000 hectares of forest area.
Chile At least 13 people have been reported killed in the forest fire till Friday night. There have been incidents of fire in more than 150 places in the forest throughout Chile. In this incident, many houses have been burnt to ashes, while forests spread over thousands of acres have been damaged. It looks as if the South American country is engulfed in flames. Officials said that the forest fire killed four people passing through the Byobo area, who were traveling in two different vehicles.
Biobo is located about 560 km south of the capital Santiago. Chile’s Interior Minister Carolina Toh said, in one case people died because they were caught in the fire. In other cases the victims died due to road accident. Probably they were trying to escape from the fire. The fifth victim was a firefighter who was hit by a fire engine during fire rescue operations.

At the same time, in the afternoon, a helicopter engaged in fire rescue work crashed in the Araucana area, killing the pilot of the plane, a Bolivian citizen, and a mechanic, who was a Chilean citizen. The national emergency agency has said that the death toll has risen to 13. However, the agency has not shared the information of fresh deaths. As of Friday afternoon, 151 wildfires were raging across Chile, of which 65 are under control. The fire has spread over 14,000 hectares of forest area.
