In this regard, a joint statement said, “Germany will extend its financial and technical cooperation and support to India, with the long-term goal of making new and additional commitments of at least 10 billion euros by 2030 under this partnership (for green and sustainable development). intends to strengthen other aid.’ The joint statement was issued after talks between Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Scholz. The two leaders agreed to create a bilateral ministerial mechanism within the IGC to provide political direction to this partnership.
PM reaches Berlin on first leg of visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Berlin on Monday morning on the first leg of his three-nation Europe tour. During this he will also visit Denmark and France. Clean Hydrogen Hub to be set up
Under which Germany has agreed to a commitment of 10 billion euros by 2030, Kwatra said. The Foreign Secretary also talked about the agreement signed between the two countries on cooperation on green hydrogen and renewable energy. “As part of our partnership in this area, a task force in collaboration with Germany will work towards setting up a clean hydrogen hub in India,” he said. A total of nine agreements have been signed between India and Germany on Monday in many fields. PM Modi was formally given a guard of honor after a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This was their first meeting since Chancellor Scholz took office in December 2021.
