If Prime Minister Modi has a bilateral meeting with PM Trudeau, then there can be talk about the issue of Khalistan. There has been a tussle between Canada and India over the issue of referendum on Khalistan for a long time. India has called on the Canadian government several times to take strict action on this, but no concrete steps have been taken so far. Canada wants deeper ties with India
It is believed that Canada wants to deepen its economic ties with India instead of China. He sees India as an alternative to the global supply chain originating from China. The Canadian government wants its relationship with India to be very strong. This is evident from the statement of Foreign Minister Melanie Jolly on the eve of the G20 summit. Canada’s Foreign Minister Jolly hopes that India’s leadership and influence will increase further on the global platform. At the same time, the G20 summit officially started today. PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Indonesia. Addressing a session of the conference on Tuesday, he said that today the world has more expectations from the G-20 and the relevance of the group has increased.
Referring to climate change, the COVID-19 global epidemic and the Ukraine crisis, Prime Minister Modi said about the role of the United Nations in the midst of a globally challenging environment that multilateral institutions like it have failed to deal with global challenges. The PM said, ‘We should not hesitate to accept that multilateral institutions like the United Nations have failed to address global challenges.’ He said, ‘The global supply system has collapsed. There is a crisis of essential commodities all over the world. The responsibility of building a new world order after the COVID-19 global pandemic is on our shoulders. The challenges are greater for the poor citizens of every country. For him everyday life was already a struggle.
India will get the presidency of G20
The Prime Minister said, ‘I am sure that when the G-20 meeting is held next year on the land of Buddha and Gandhi, we all together will give a strong message of peace to the world.’ It is known that Indonesia is the current chairman of G-20 and now India is going to get this chairmanship. India will formally take over the presidency of the G-20 from December 1. Leaders of countries with 20 major economies of the world including US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have participated in this two-day G-20 summit.
