Now they are seeing the danger of India becoming a Hindu nation. Levin has said that India is facing the danger of becoming a Hindu nationalist state. While giving a speech in the US House of Representatives, 62-year-old Andy Levin described himself as a lifelong human rights advocate. He said that America got success in human rights matters, but the situation is still serious in many parts of the world.
Levin spewing venom against India said, “I have been an outspoken advocate of human rights in places like India. These countries are facing the danger of becoming a Hindu nationalist state instead of a secular democracy. He said, “I am a lover of Hinduism. I also like Jainism, Buddhism and other religions that originated in India, but we need to protect the rights of all people in India. Whether they are Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Christians or Jains.
Had made statements against India regarding Kashmir as well
Please tell that Levin is known for making frequent statements against India regarding the issue of Kashmir. On April 20 last year, Levin called for international attention to the issue during a special briefing titled ‘India’s brutal oppression of Kashmir’ organized by several human rights groups, including the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC).
India today is not the India I fell in love with – Levin
Levin alleged, “What is happening in Kashmir is going to attract the attention of the world.” In his speech, he also made serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Levin said, “PM Modi is taking India in the wrong direction in terms of human rights and democracy. PM Modi’s India today is not the India I fell in love with. I am saying this because I love India. That’s why I am determined to end the attacks on the people there.”
Levin said that I want to see how democracy flourishes in India for generations to come. Levin is a member of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee and vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation.
