The western area is actually a Shia Muslim-dominated Hazara community where the attack took place. They have been targeted in the most brutal attacks in Afghanistan recently. It is being told that this community is being persecuted for centuries. Police had reported the death of 20 people in this attack, while the United Nations had reported the death of 24 people. After this attack, about 50 women here on Saturday said ‘Stop the genocide of Hazara, being Shia is not a crime’. Raising this slogan, the women went to the hospital in Dasti Barachi, where many people injured in the attack are undergoing treatment.
Hazara community is being targeted
Wearing black hijabs, these women were holding boards in their hands. It was written on these boards, ‘Stop killing Hazara.’ An eyewitness said that the suicide bomber blew himself up at the place where the women’s section was built. There were separate men’s and women’s sections in the hall. At the same time, Farzana Ahmadi, a protesting girl said, ‘Yesterday’s attack was done on Hazara community and Hazara women.’ He said, ‘We demand that this massacre of Hazara should be stopped. We have done this protest for our rights.
The protesting women were not even afraid of the Taliban
During the demonstration, women reached the hospital and raised slogans fiercely. During this, people armed with Taliban weapons were present here. According to reports, they had a large amount of weapons. Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, it has become very risky for women to demonstrate here. So far no group has claimed responsibility for Friday’s attack.
