The search operation resumed on Monday after the horrific plane crash in Pokhara, Nepal, where four bodies are being searched. Till late Sunday night, 68 bodies were recovered from the debris and the rescue operation was stopped due to bad weather. After the plane crash, mourning has spread from Nepal to India.
This is the deadliest plane crash in the Himalayan nation in more than 30 years. The family members of the passengers who died in the accident are in bad condition by crying. They are gathered near the hospital. It can be seen in the pictures that the families and relatives of the passengers who were victims of the accident are crying.
Four of those killed in the plane crash in Nepal were from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district, identified as Sonu Jaiswal, Anil Rajbhar, Abhishek Kushwaha and Vishal Sharma. After fulfilling the vow of having a son, Sonu went to Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu to pay obeisance. At the same time, the fifth Indian citizen was identified as Sanjay Jaiswal, whose place of residence is not clear.
A spokesperson of the Nepali Army said that not a single passenger could be pulled out alive from the debris after the accident. The army said that the bodies of the passengers who died in the accident have been taken out.
The bodies of the passengers killed in the accident have been sent to Gandaki Hospital for postmortem. Hospital officials said that the bodies of most of the passengers were badly burnt and it was difficult to identify them.
Among the passengers killed in Nepal’s Pokhara plane crash, there were 15 foreign nationals, in which five Indians, four Russians, two South Koreans, one Australian, one French, one Afghan and one passenger were from Ireland.
Experts said that human error, malfunction in the aircraft system or pilot’s fatigue could be responsible for the plane crash. An expert investigating plane accidents said that the real cause of the accident would be known only after a detailed investigation of the incident.
Nepal’s Yeti airline’s first commercial aircraft took to the skies more than two decades ago. At present, the air fleet of this company includes six ATR aircraft. Yeti Airline operates only ‘ATR 72-500S’ aircraft connecting different regions of Nepal.
