This is the highest number of cases reported in a single day since the start of the pandemic in 2020. In this way, 54 crore people have been infected with corona in America so far. America has suffered the most due to Corona in the world. The highest number of deaths worldwide due to Corona have been recorded in America (Covid Death in US).
According to data from John Hopkins University, 1,762 patients of corona have died in the last 24 hours. In this way, more than 8,42,000 people have died in America due to COVID. The number of active cases is 1,19,81,273, while the number of patients recovering from corona is 4,13,25,110. The previous record for the maximum number of cases in a single day was made on January 8 this year, when 2,94,015 cases were reported. A Washington Post report on Tuesday showed that the seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases in the US was 2,53,245, higher than the previous high of 2,48,209 cases on January 12.
58.6 percent of America’s total corona cases are linked to Omicron
The deteriorating epidemic situation in the country can be attributed to the Omicron variant of Coronavirus. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Omicron accounts for 58.6 percent of the total cases reported in the US. On the other hand, the share of Delta variants in the total cases is 41.1 percent. CDC director Rochelle Valensky said that there will be many cases of Omicron variants in the US. He said that the condition of most of the patients will not be serious, but they will definitely be asymptomatic.
Infection cases in California exceed 50 million

According to the report of the California Department of Public Health, the first case of infection in the state was reported on 25 January 2020. Exactly 292 days after this, on November 11 of the same year, the cases of infection had increased to one million. After this, in 44 days, the cases of infection in the state had exceeded 20 lakhs. More than 75,500 people have died due to infection in the state.
At the same time, daily COVID cases are increasing in record numbers in New York too. In the midst of the Omicron crisis, the rate of admission of COVID-infected children to the hospital is also increasing. Last Friday, the state health department had warned that the rate of hospitalization would increase in the coming days.
