Chinese President Xi Jinping
Chinese President Xi Jinping remains concerned about the political future. President Xi Jinping is starting to hand over the rights to the major organizations of the ruling Communist Party for the first time in his reign of more than 12 years. Xi's move is speculating that they are preparing the basis for systematic power transfer or reducing their role under the preparation of potential retirement.
Speculation about Xi's power was intensified when the government news agency 'Xinhua' recently informed that the powerful 24-member political bureau of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) has reviewed the new rules regarding the work of the party's institutions in their meeting on 30 June. Although this meeting was chaired by Xi, but the discussion about China has started in this meeting.
The meeting emphasized that the new rules CPC will further standardize the establishment, responsibilities and operations of the Central Committee's decision-making, consultant and coordinating institutions. The news of the Chinese media states that such institutions should make more effective experiments regarding leadership and coordination in relation to their major works and focus on planning, discussing and maintaining major tasks.
Indication of change of power giving new rules
On the condition of anonymity, a political analyst living in China said that the rules set by the party for the elections may be a sign of the retirement preparation of Xi. Hong Kong newspaper 'South China Morning Post' quoted an analyst on Sunday, “This is an important time in terms of change of power, so it may be that these new rules have been made to regulate the bodies.”
However, other experts say that Xi, who is considered the most powerful leader after CPC founder Maotse Tung, herself can hand over some powers to others to focus on some big issues.
There is no reason to dispute with Trump
Xi has taken the move to hand over power at a time when US President Trump waged a tariff war against China, China's export of $ 440 billion to the US is being interrupted. Apart from this, the Chinese economy is also facing many challenges. The growth rate has fallen due to continuous lethargy in the economy. Apart from this, the main basis of economic development is weakening the housing market.
Since assuming power by becoming the CPC General Secretary in 2012, Xi has rapidly strengthened its hold on the powerful army as the chairman of the party, the President of the President, the President and the Central Military Commission (CMC). Earlier, Xi was the Vice President, but now her grip is getting weaker.
